Well, the end of the year is here. So how was 2007?
CareerWell, I must say I had a great half of the year in the real world. But then again, it is only half a year. I will try to remain positive.
There are already areas which I need to work and improve on though, something that has been a problem for many years. While I am not living in denial, I think I need to be so so so conscientious about it in order to change. Thanks to my colleagues who were willing to give me that feedback. *New Year Resolution?*
My life as a form teacher has been fantastic thus far. I taught my class EL and SC. I have 15 and pupils 6 pupils who didn't show improvement in EL and SC for their SA2. But on the contrary,
23 improved in EL and
32 improved in SC. That closed my 2007 academic year pretty well. Well done, my pupils! You also made my effort all worthwhile.
This also wouldn't have been possible without the great team of colleagues I have in P3. They were so hospitable and supportive that I felt comfortable settling in - Bernard, Rachel, Zaheed, Roslina, Shay, Alaina, Mahes, Yong. my big THANK YOU to all of you, especially to Mrs Roslina Rosley...my 'mummy' in school.
NPCCOh well, how can I leave this topic out? I must say it has been a relief to be more focused in my unit matters. The team of TOs we have in 2007 are just fantastic - full or energy and ideas...not to forget...action too.
I have slowly gained respect for my NCOs. Towards the end of the year, the key individuals have shown a more positive attitude and I respect them for that. This is encouraging. It is really my dream to see more cadets running the unit proactively.
Nevertheless, 2008 is the year of change...a positive change. May it spells new life and spirit to the unit. GO FORWARD!
PersonalThis is the period where I hope to embark into my childhood interest - playing a musical instrument. Won't go into details yet...but I'll update as necessary.
