After 1 year of postponement, I finally managed to successfully pass out from my HOBTC in December 2006.
At the end of the course, I received good news from Paul that he'd like me to help out in the NPAP07. And of course, I agreed.
I had looked forward to working together with Paul again after CC06. I was then the CC06 Co-Coordinator (with Cynthia) and Paul was one of the Heads. And now, I become Paul's deputy in the Parade Sub-committee - the beauty of cohesion.
Since the start of the planning, I've set objectives for myself...
1. Make a value-added learning in the sub-committee to be carried beyond NPAP07
2. Have minutes typed out for every session
3. Provide more ackowledgement for the Supporting Contingents (as compared to previous years)
4. Have a Drill Documentation
5. And many more...
To put it simply - I began with an end in mind.
I must say that I really treasure the period of training up till the actual day when I work with Paul. His brain is a gem of knowledge in parade issues. He could enlighten you with this rationale for practically every action that is done. Now this is what you call a mobile Drill Dictionary. *salutes* Those dinner at Sakae, Mac, etc...thanks for those times as well.
Now the sub-comm were not having a really easy time... our manpower were merely substantial. I am very proud of my Trainers for being able to cope with the manpower 'shortage' for every training.
Even our FI Ezra had difficulty. My apologies for the invoncenience caused so far to him. He has been a great help and just like a very kind uncle to the committee - well, he's old enough right? One cool guy...
At the end of the actual day everything was a rush that I simply didn't have time to do this. So I'm going so say it here...
To all the cadets participating in the Parade...

Give a pat on your back. To me, you all have done very well.
- With the numerous disrupted trainings which forced us to do stationary drills only, I must say you all have adapted well to the situation on the actual day.
- I doubt you every stood so long in the parade during any the trainings.
- There was NOT ONE CASUALTY during the parade itself...a FIRST time after so many years!
- I hope all the trainings have been worth it and you benefited a lot - new skills and knowledge, new friends, new purpose
Once again...well done!
Alright, there are a lot more I could write about...my fingers are getting tired though. Nonetheless, this is one most memorable NPCC event in my life. Thank you to all those who have made it possible for me and thank you Paul for giving me the opportunity.
